Black Jumpsuit + Red Classic Box

Jumpsuit: Lulus Enticing Endeavors Black Jumpsuit
Shoes: Gianvito Rossi Plexi pump (available in all white, all black, lower heel black & white)
Bag: Celine Classic Box

I am a jumpsuit junkie this year and my latest jumpsuit purchase is this Enticing Endeavors Black Jumpsuit from Lulus. I purchased the XS size and the fit is very flattering but I did have to chop 6 inches off the legs (for reference I am 5’2″ and 110 pounds).

The trapezoidal cut on the top is very flattering on the chest area. I also like the formfitting top and wide-cut pant legs – it helps to minimize the waist! This is my first time tailoring – I am terrible at it as you may be able to see in the uneven and crooked stitching but it’s pretty fun and I look forward to tailoring more pieces!

Guitar Straps (Handbag Shoulder Straps) From 13 Designers

Guitar straps or handbag shoulder straps have been super popular in the last few years. I am surprised it took designers this long to come out with fun and interchangeable shoulder straps. Handbag charms have been around for ages but fun and unique shoulder straps are only a recent phenomenon.

Personally between handbag charms and shoulder straps, I would rather spend my money on shoulder straps because they are actually useful, offer an alternative way to carry the bag and can change up the look. Often designer bags come with straps that are either too long or too short – purchasing an alternative strap at the perfect length can make a big difference.

Here are 13 designers that offer various shoulder straps in alphabetical order (with the exception of Fendi – because it was the first to market, I am including them first). The shoulder straps also range from $85 to $1,000+ so there is something for all budgets!

Fendi Guitar Straps
As far as I am aware, Fendi was the first to introduce guitar straps. Fendi offers straps in various leathers, designs and colors. These straps are definitely pricey at $800+; even though I don’t plan on buying Fendi guitar straps, I still appreciate the company’s designs. To me, Fendi has the most unique and fun designs out of all the designers.

Alexander Wang Guitar Straps
Alexander Wang guitar straps are true to his style: simple and edgy. The current straps available on the market all come in the black leather with metal stud or chain details. The straps retail for $250+, which is reasonable price compared to all other designer straps. I have been tempted to get one for my black Givenchy Antigona.

Anya Hindmarch Shoulder Straps
Anya Hindmarch has a great selection of shoulder straps with unique designs, very Fendi-esk, but at a much affordable price point. Anya Hindmarch Shoulder Straps are my favorite out of these 13 designers due to its design and price point ($200+ retail price).

Dior Handbag Straps
Dior currently offers lambskin cannage pattern handbag straps in black and white and four variations of J’ADIOR shoulder straps in calfskin leather. The website doesn’t discloses prices (you would have to inquire in Dior boutiques) but I would assume these straps would retail for $800+. Personally I don’t like the J’ADIOR line at all. I would prefer the simple cannage pattern for the straps but I would be concerned with the durability of the lambskin.

Kate Spade Guitar Straps
I actually have a Kate Spade guitar strap – it is plain red in pebbled leather on one side and then black & white on the other. I purchased the strap to use with my Celine Nano Luggage (original strap too long) and Givenchy Antigona (original strap too short). I love that most Kate Spade straps are reversible and are adjustable. Best of all, the straps are affordable at $128 and can be found on sale. Most straps also come with tassels that you can use as bag charms.

Tiffany’s Best Kept Secret: $10 Silver Polish Cream (Review)

Tiffany is known for its dazzling diamonds and beautiful silvers; yet, I would argue Tiffany’s best product is its silver polish cream – aka the magic that brings your tarnished silver back to life.

A Little Background and Other Methods I’ve Tried
I had two pieces of silver jewelry from Tiffany, a trefoil key necklace and a heart tag bracelet. I went swimming with the two pieces a few times during a cruise and the next thing I knew, the silver looked like it was over 100 years old. I tried online methods of cleaning it with baking soda + aluminum foil, toothpaste, and laundry detergent. They all help a little bit but the silver was still so dull that I didn’t want to wear it. (Note: during my cleaning process, the blue enamel on the bracelet fell off.)

Fast forward a year, I decided to send in the bracelet to Tiffany to get it polished and have the blue enamel reattached – I received a quote that it would cost $80. I said no thank you and received my bracelet back. For a while I hated Tiffany and swore to myself I would never purchase anything from there again. Eventually I decided to try again and google for silver cleaning products – that’s when I found Tiffany’s silver polish cream.

Tiffany’s Silver Polishing Products
The website doesn’t have too much information on these products at all – which is a shame because if more people knew tarnished silver can easily be polished then they would buy more products. Maybe Tiffany’s strategy is to get you to visit its stores for polishing and then impulse buy more products?

Regardless, Tiffany offers polishing cloths, mitts, polish cream, liquid cleaner and the silver polish spray. I purchased the silver polish cream, which cost $10 for 4 ounces (125 mL). The rest of the post will be focused on this product. The polishing clothes would have been nice but I polished my silver with a regular hand towel and even paper towels and they work fine.

My Favorite Chanel Handbags

Chanel is without a doubt one of my favorite handbag brands – I love its rich history, classic designs, timeless aura, luscious leather, and fine craftsmanship. Despite the high price tags and constant (and annoying) price increases, I am still a Chanel enthusiast. Here are my current favorite Chanel bags!

Chanel Classic Flap (M/L)
The first bag on my list is the Chanel Classic Flap. Besides the minis, the Classic Flap comes in 4 different sizes: small, medium / large, jumbo, and maxi. I never liked the small or maxi and only debated between the M/L and jumbo. Ultimately, I decided to get the M/L because I don’t carry around a ton of stuff, it is considerably lighter and the size is more proportional for my height. I have been wanting a Classic Flap for years and finally after two price increases, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a M/L Classic Flap in the black lambskin with silver hardware. I love my Classic Flap and even though I don’t use it often because I don’t want to baby the lambskin I have no regrets and won’t change a single thing.

Chanel Rectangular Mini Flap
The second bag on my list is the Chanel Rectangular Mini. The rectangular mini flap with red caviar leather is on my wish list but because I have quite a few red bags, I am also considering burgundy, pink, and potentially green. Mini bags are perfect to play with fun colors! The rectangular mini is a great option if you like the classic flap design but you don’t want to pay full price. It is also the perfect bag if you like Chanel WOCs but need a little more room for your daily essentials.

Chanel Square Mini Flap
I also love the square mini – although I am pretty certain the rectangular mini will be my next Chanel, sometimes I still debate between the rectangle mini and square mini. Both the rectangular and square mini used to be $2,900 but Chanel increased the rectangular mini to $3,100 in early 2017. The price difference is not enough to sway me to a particular bag but it indicates that the rectangular minis are more popular. Personally, the pros for the square mini include: it is the original mini design, the strap length is better for my 5’2” height and it is more unique / looks slightly different than my M/L flap. The pros for the rectangular mini include: it will fit the iPhone 6s Plus easily and I can see myself wearing it for longer than the square mini.

Chanel Coco Handle
I really like the Chanel Coco Handle because it is a very versatile bag – it can be worn handheld or over-the-shoulder / cross-body. The Coco Handle comes in four sizes: mini, small, medium and large (I personally like the small size). Relative to Chanel’s other bags, the Coco Handle is more attractively priced. The small Coco Handle measures 7.3” x 11.4” x 4.7” and retails for $3,300, it is comparable to the M/L Classic Flap which measures 6.3” x 10.2” x 2.8” and retails for $4,900. The Coco Handle is much bigger compared to the rectangular mini which measures 7.8” x 5” x 2.5” and retails for $3,100. I also like how the shape and handle of the bag balance out the classic quilting to make the Coco Handle more casual. Overall, I think the Coco handle is a great bag and even though it is relatively new, I think we will be seeing this bag around for a while.
